About Cambodia Lottery Source Code
Prizes are paid out as lump sums (except for lifetime prizes, which are paid out over a specified period) and are tax-free. Of all payouts from The National Lottery games, approximately 53% goes to the prize fund, 25% goes to "good causes" set by Parliament (although some argue that some of this is a "stealth tax" that supports The National Lottery Community Fund, which is designed to support public spending). 12% goes to the UK government as lottery tax, 4% goes to retailers as commission, and a total of 5% goes to the operator, of which 4% goes to cover operating costs and 1% is profit.
From April 2021, 4, players must be 22 years or older to purchase lottery tickets and scratch cards (online and in-store). Previously, the minimum age was 18 years.
In early 2024, Allwyn took over all operations of The National Lottery, replacing the Camelot Group.
