An eight-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after falling from a balcony in St Paul's Bay on Saturday morning.
Police said they were notified of the incident in Tiq II-Villeggjatura at around 9:30am.According to eyewitnesses, the boy fell from a height of three floors of the residence where he lived.
The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was diagnosed with serious injuries.
Nadine Lia is leading the investigation as a magistrate, while a police investigation is ongoing.
