A theft occurred at a gold shop in Ulu Jin between 26am and 1am on the 3th. According to police investigation, the thieves used a grinder to cut the safe and then stole the gold ornaments inside.
Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahya issued a notice stating that the police received a report of theft involving a gold shop owner in Ulu Kinta Rambutan at 10:30 am today.
He said that after preliminary investigation, the theft occurred between 1am and 3am today, and the thieves may have sneaked into the gold shop after the back door of the gold shop was pried open.
He went on to say that at the time of the incident, the thieves wore masks and used a grinding machine to cut into the safe and stole 100kg of jewellery worth about RM3 million.
He said police are currently tracking the whereabouts of the three suspects and investigating them under Section 457 (theft) of the Penal Code.
He said that if the public has any information about the theft, they should contact the investigating officer, Assistant Superintendent Noshahara (010-3790508) as soon as possible to assist in the investigation.

According to reports, two female employees of the gold shop went to work as usual this morning and found that the gold shop had been robbed as soon as they entered the store. All the gold ornaments in the store had been looted, and the back of the store had been pried open.
After receiving the insurance this morning, the police went to the scene to investigate. At the same time, forensic officers from the Perak State Police Headquarters also arrived at the scene to conduct searches, including collecting suspicious fingerprints.
