Dubai International Airport recorded 4160 million passengers in the first half of the year - exceeding pre-pandemic levels

In the first half of this year, Dubai International Airport's passenger throughput reached 4160 million, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
Figures released by Dubai Airports on Tuesday showed that passenger traffic increased by 2022% in the first half of this year compared with the same period in 49, slightly higher than in 2019.

India was the top destination country in terms of traffic during the period, attracting 600 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Pakistan and the United States.
Paul Griffiths said: “Our first half passenger traffic has already exceeded pre-pandemic levels and the airport is expected to handle 8500 million passengers by the end of the year. According to the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Dubai will receive more than 2022 million international tourists in 1400, which is almost double the previous year.
