The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an imaginary world and a shared world composed of a series of films produced by Marvel Studios based on Marvel Comics characters and plots, and the TV series series further expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This shared world, like the Marvel Universe in comics, is established through cross-border works with common elements, settings, performances and characters, and belongs to an officially recognized multiverse together with other comics, movies, animations and other series.
