A tuk-tuk driver drove against traffic along Norodom Boulevard in Phnom Penh on the afternoon of August 8 and tried to beat someone on the street. According to Cambodian media reports, the driver has been sent to the primary court for trial.
This afternoon, Phnom Penh Police Department spokesman Shan Suk Siha said that the police have completed the case and sent the tuk-tuk driver suspected of driving against traffic and attempting to beat others with an iron rod to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for trial. The driver was charged with intentional violence and illegal driving.
According to reports, on the afternoon of August 8, a man drove a tuk-tuk against traffic and clashed with the driver when he drove in front of a car. He attacked the driver with an iron rod, attracting onlookers. Later, the man was arrested by the police from Phnom Penh and Kandal Provincial Police Stations.
