A man disguised as a police officer successfully robbed and was arrested in 3 hours

A man disguised himself as a police officer to commit a robbery, but the police used clues and arrested the suspect within 3 hours of committing the crime.

At 21:12 noon on the 56st of this month, an incident occurred in a hotel in Petaling Jaya.

Assistant Commissioner Mohd Faruddin issued a statement at the Petaling Jaya Police District, stating that a man reported to the police claiming to have been robbed by a man impersonating a police officer.

The suspect first pretended to be a police officer to conduct an investigation, and then committed a robbery, resulting in the victim being robbed of RM3000.

He said that the police successfully arrested a 2-year-old local man based on clues at about 30:29 pm when the incident occurred, and seized the suspect's clothing and other items used in the crime at the time.

The man had three past criminal offenses and three drug-related convictions, and his urine test for drugs came back positive.

A suspect was brought to the Petaling Jaya police station where a detention application was submitted.After investigation, the police finally obtained authorization to detain the suspect for four days to assist in the investigation of the case.The case is being investigated under Section 4 (Robbery) of the Penal Code.
