According to the complaint, the senior officer was accused of accepting bribes ranging from RM100 to RM2000 to be transferred to his personal account from some related parties, and the bribes came from five areas in Kuantan.
The defendant is accused of serving as a police officer in the Prosecution/Legal Section (D2021) of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Pahang Police Headquarters from January 1 to October 2022, with the rank of Chief Cao.During this period, he used his position to receive payments via online bank transfers from several different individuals, totaling a total of RM10, for bribes.According to the complaint, the defendants used their positions to pressure these individuals to provide funds as bribes.The bribes all occurred while the defendant was serving as chief of the Chalatin police station, during which time he was responsible for managing police work in the area.The defendant's crimes were clear abuse of power and corruption.This behavior not only damages social credibility and the image of the police, but also has a negative impact on the local political and economic environment.We strongly condemn this kind of corruption and hope that the defendants will admit their mistakes and be willing to accept legal sanctions.At the same time, we also call on the police to take more active measures to prevent such corruption and maintain social justice and fairness.
