According to Cambodian media reports, on the morning of August 8, Ms. Zhu Wenying, Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Interior and Vice Chairman of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee, said that officials involved in combating human trafficking cases should not only talk, but should take practical actions.
This morning, Ms. Zhu Wenying attended the opening ceremony of the "Lockdown on Victims of Human Trafficking and Provide Appropriate Services" training class and expressed her hope to do her part.
Ms. Zhu Wenying pointed out that although the grassroots officials under the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee have a clear staff structure, they allow criminals to commit illegal acts.She expressed the hope that these officials would not just talk about it on paper, but more importantly, put it into practice.
Zhu Wenying called on officials to work together with the global community and continue to work together to prevent human trafficking and other issues.
It can be noted that the Cambodian government has frequently taken actions in the past aimed at protecting the lives and work of its own nationals as well as foreigners in Cambodia.These actions include combating issues such as human trafficking.
