Pope Francis canceled a trip to Dubai on Tuesday to attend a United Nations climate conference on the advice of his doctors, the Vatican said.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said Francis was getting better from flu and respiratory inflammation, but "doctors have asked the pope to cancel his trip to Dubai in the coming days."

He added: "Pope Francis accepted the doctor's request and the trip was cancelled, and he himself expressed great regret."
Pope Francis turns 87 next month. As a young man, he underwent lung surgery, in which part of one lung was removed.
